As soon as he comes home! When my Golden Pup was 9 weeks, she knew all the basic commands, including sit, down, paw, come, and other paw!

Start Now. My Chocolate lab learned her sits at 8 weeks, now at 11 weeks she has learned stay, not gonna say she does it %100 of the time, but she is getting better.

The best time, is when you feed them. They learn pretty quickly when they know their foods at stake!
