Should I follow the basic training guides for puppies or do other rules apply since she is older?

Keep it short, keep it simple, and keep it fun…. and start NOW!
We raise labs and we’ve had an 8 week old lab consistently retrieving tennis balls and frisbees for us before we sold her. But we never did it for long periods of time and she loved it. My wife also taught another 10 week old puppy to sit and speak on command. It’s never too early, as long as it’s fun for the pup. Build a good relationship when the dog is young, and you’ll have a very willing learner when the puppy is old enough for some serious training.
Cheers,
Marv

8 weeks is ok,but if I keep a litter till they are 10 weeks old, they usually go home well pee pad trained and also outdoor trained if the weather is good
as a breeder,I send them home already knowing come sit and stay
the breeder is the one who has the best opportunity to give these puppies a great start,if they are not BYB,or puppy mills
I take pride in mine, and I want when new families contact me that the hard work was already done for them
training start right way when you bring puppy home
