Off leash dog training – How do I teach my dog to not go after other dogs?

Greg asked:
I’ve got a lot covered in the off-leash training, I think (any more info would be great!)
But I’m more concerned about how to train my dog to not react to other dogs, and how to go about the training. Do I do the old “yank the chain and say NO” trick at the park until she gets the idea, or is there a better method?
I’m really looking forward to getting Generic Drugs my dog off leash where I can so I can take her hunting and give her a little more freedom, but I really want to do this right.

Lot’s of positive training. I have a husky who I thought I’d never be able to let off leash as a pup. He never leaves my side now. He’s 2 1/2 a Delta Therapy, CGC and all round great friend. It took lots of treats, patience and my love for him. You will get it. I think that if people take the time and love they can teach their pets to do almost anything.
“Secrets to Dog Training!”, by Dog Trainer Expert “Daniel Stevens”. It’s a terrific book on how to train dog.

My Siamese cat sits, fetches and rolls over. Only for treats she’s not stupid she has me trained!
