Question about leash training a dog?
Allan asked:
We just got an 11 month old lab and due to conditions in Alaska the previous owners were not able to leash train him. Well now he is big and its hard to keep him under control on a leash. What is the best way to teach him to walk on one? Also what is a good way to teach him not to jump? And to let go of the ball when you play catch, he goes and gets it but wont drop it, just runs off and wants you to chase him and play tug of war. Thanks online pharmacies no prescription so much for the help!!

Well, there are a few things you can do. If your dog is running to far ahead and pulling you can stop the dog and make them sit and wait everytime they pull to hard, and resume walking once they’ve calmed down.
Also, you can hold a treat in your hand and keep it at an area where you would like your dog to stay close to and just walk with it in a closed fist and hope the dog will walk with you. Eventually, you may be able to just hold your hand out with out a treat and the dog may listen. Be sure to reward for being good, even just telling them they’re doing a good job.
that’s what I work on with my dog anyways.
