Dog Classes?
Diego asked:
I just adopted a dog about 4 months ago but i am having a problem that is very frustrating. he is not used to other people and often gets scared and runs into his crate when he sees other people, especially my dad. also, he is not very active. he likes so play with me and my sister, but never anyone else, he just runs away. are there any classes that specialize in traning dogs to know that people are friendly. we also think that this dog was abused as a puppy. he is 11 months old now. thanks

Call around for training classes and ask for a socialization class. Tell them what you want and see what each has to offer and then pick the one that you feel will most benefit you and your pup.

A good groomer also knows how to train the dog for the job. But that only works if customers bring their dogs every 4-6 weeks. The dog can remember. I loved the way the groomer was so calm and gentle, great job. loved it. I would trust her with my dog anytime. lovely!
Successful Dog Training Classes
Classes can be very good for your dog.
Be aware that there are some good trainers, and some really crappy trainers. I would DEFINATELY stay away from the 'furbaby' classes like they have at Petsmart, especially with a breed such as yours. The trainers I have seen teaching at Petsmart really have no business teaching training classes. Go to a REAL training club!
