First have you read the standard on your dog? Do you know if he is even show quality? Go to the AKC website and read about your breed. Try to find a local show exhibitor in your breed that will mentor you. What about the breeder you got your dog from? Are they show exhibitors? There is alot more to it than just having AKC papers and deciding you want to show your dog. Does it even come from champion lines? Parents champion? You don’t enter your dog at the novice level at 3 months. First order prescription drugs off you can’t enter them in an AKC show until they are 6 months. They start in the 6-9 month puppy class. You really need to research this first and answer the questions I ask you honestly. You can’t just take any dog and show it. Search your area for a training club.
